Finding things to do in Brickell was a bit tricky when I first arrived in Miami. Unlike nearby Downtown, Little Havana, and Coconut Grove, Brickell’s sights aren’t immediately obvious. But having spent a week exploring the neighbourhood (and getting some insider tips from locals), I was won over by its charm and appeal.

In this article – discover the 10 best things to do in Brickell, from waterside strolls to rooftop cocktails.

Brickell is a vibrant Miami neighbourhood where modernity meets elegance. Nestled in the heart of the city, it’s a dynamic district that offers an array of activities for day-trippers and longer term visitors alike.

Downtown Miami Brickell Key

Renowned for its highrise skyscrapers, there’s actually a lot more to Brickell than initially meets the eye. So whether you’re a foodie, fitness fanatic, or simply want to take in some sensational views, Brickell has something to captivate you.

1 – Brickell Key Walk

My favourite thing to do in Brickell is wander around the Key, a small island connected to Miami by a bridge. One of my Miami-based colleagues recommended it as a great running spot and I was blown away by the dreamy location. It’s the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city while taking a leisurely stroll or jog along the waterside.

Brickell Key offers breathtaking waterfront views and lush greenery, accompanied by the soothing sounds of the ocean. It’s a serene oasis with well-maintained paths that provide the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. You can do a loop around the entire Key (around a mile long) by starting at the bridge and following the pathway around the edge of the island until you’re back at your starting spot .

2 – Rooftop Cocktails & Views

With its impressive skyline views, Brickell is known for its rooftop bars. Take advantage of the happy hour specials, sip on refreshing cocktails, and soak up the panoramic vistas from one of the many spots. Rosa Sky is our pick for its vibrant atmosphere, tasty tapas, and incredible views across the city.
